A beautiful example of how one person’s specific memory can translate into a scent that is beautiful for everyone – just like a song. A fresh, wild scent with rose and clary sage and a seaweed note that evokes the ocean. This eases into a grass-tinged skin scent that is striking and lovely.

I wanted to love this, but the rose and green notes turn a bit sour and sharp, with the salty, sharp aquatic and musk making the whole thing smell rather harsh and chemical on my skin.

Having just returned from a fantastic camping trip on Mount Desert Island, I was on the hunt for a perfume that smelled like that combination of sea water and mossy forest I associate with Maine. I was understandably disappointed when I cracked my brand new bottle of Maine to find that it smells overwhelmingly of roses at first application. The roses die down as the perfume dries, to a nice, fresh, beachy scent. Overall, a decent perfume with okay staying power, but not what I wanted.

A REALLY lovely,serene fragrance,that is a skin scent,but not shrouded in white musk! I love,that the incense is soft,and authentic smelling! also,if you are hesitant to sample,thinking this is a aquatic scent,I am not getting that impression,It really much more complex! FBW--and UNIQUE:)
