Captivating sweet-leather frag

I'm not one for the sweet scents, but Sadel's caramelly-leather blend is quite captivating. It does tend to smell like a quality shoe polish (think Saphir) freshly applied on a pair of shoes, so it is not for everyone.

Better leather

It took me a few samples (and a few weeks) to warm up to this, but I can say that I'm a fan. This is the sweeter side of leather -- it's almost like the scent of leather cleaning products combined with the leather itself -- but it's a pretty pleasing wear on the skin. Sillage isn't the best, and it's not particularly long-lasting, but the skin scent is pretty great.

Weirdly, not that leathery

From this fragrance I mostly got sweet tobacco and vanilla, with quite a bit of powdery overtones, especially at first.
A leather-esque scent tried to come in a few minutes in, but it is really generous to call it that, at least on my skin. It was a faux leather, if so.
A slightly peppery or herbal tickle wound its way through at certain times, but didn't stay.
This is not a terribly strong fragrance, and on me it mostly stayed at powdery vanilla-hay/tobacco, with what could be called the questionably leather part disappearing after drydown.
I was a bit disappointed, especially after having tried Virke, another fragrance by Svensk Parfym. It was very faithful to the listed notes. SADEL, with its primary purpose of smelling of saddle leather, for me was not faithful to that purpose. So that was a surprise.
