Calycanthus Brumae, calibrated balance between the subtle scent of the “paper flowers”and woody notes of sacred incences and rare roots. For men but not only.
Mystic and silent like dusk on the lake: from its grey reflection in the water it takes also its silver habit.

Acqua Di Stresa Calycanthus Brumae manages to present as phenolic, camphorous, lightly powdery and deceptively floral all at once. While I doubt this particular scent will be in rotation for me, it's very much intriguing and quite lovely. I have a marked preference toward darker and heavier scents, even when playing on the unisex boundary and the icy and subtle floral composition here doesn't read as particularly unisex or masculine. I'll definitely try it again in a few days to see what I may not have noticed this time, but I can feel the menthol/camphor component on my wrist and can't help but feel like I spritzed on a liniment instead of a cologne.
