Comme Un Carrousel ("Like a Carousel") is inspired by summer time on Nice's beaches in southern France: drinks, love and the carousel. The fragrance features an array of libations in its opening: cola, rum, red wine.

This was a blind-buy for me, and honestly I find it just ok.
Upon leaving it to settle for a couple of weeks, the first spray (and five minutes or so) do really smell of cola.
However, then it veers into weirder territory, which is a bit leather/burnt rubber, and completely overpowers the lovely cola.
After that starts to fade, there's a pretty indolic orange blossom, with a herbal background. If I didn't read it in the notes, I would not guess basil! There's some myrrh jumping in at this point.
Overall, it's definitely not a boring scent, but it's also not super wearable; I can't think of many occasions where it would be appropriate...maybe an outdoor concert, or dinner with people you don't particularly like?
I received a complimentary sample vial of Sangre Dulce with the purchase of this bottle, and in all honesty, I wish I had purchased a bottle of it, and only received a sample of this.
