Famagusta - a chypre fragrance - is translated as "hidden in the sand." Like being covered in sand, the fragrance that peeks forth is subtle and discreet, through aldehydes and citrus top notes, which lend sparkle to Famagusta's more subtle floral and woody qualities.

Earthy greenish hard to define fragrance
It is greenish aromatic dirty earth kind of start, soon joined by undefined floral note without any sweetness, that settles into oakmoss and aldehydes. Probably quite polarizing, kind of strange chypre. Over time it became quite likable.

Soapy aldehydes.
This is all about soapy aldehydes to my nose. It smells like fluffy, soapy, white clouds of men's shaving cream with a dusty note in the drydown. I can't pick out any of the other individual notes.
