Masculine and smokey
....the aura of smoke clings to the blackened bark of the pine trees after yesterday's fire. There are smoldering stumps and charred logs lying on the scorched earth. Your fingers are sticky with tree resins and the smell of fire still permeates your clothes. But the forest floor is already carpeted in moss and tall, green grass. There are fir and pine saplings beginning to punch through the ash, the fresh scent of promise and rebirth is in the breeze. And all of this in just the opening notes of this decidedly masculine fragrance. It's not a very dynamic fragrance--it will smell the same after 5 or 6 hours of wear as it did 5 minutes after application--and it's not really a cologne for formal occasions, but it still has a lot of class. This fragrance is well crafted and at $65 it seems like a bargain to me. While it's not exactly my style in colognes I can certainly appreciate what Hendley has done here. I would recommend that you try a tester of Fume if you're looking for something that's masculine, uncomplicated yet refined, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
