While this does not remind me of the Scottish Highlands (a place near and dear to my heart), nor a distillery.
To me, this kind of smells like a minty, smoky, version of "Rhinoceros". I smell a lot of leather, but it also smells like being beside a fire while camping deep in the woods. I don't smell anything sweet or resinous in this, but I do smell a hefty dose of liquorice.
SUPER strong sillage; it fills a room! As a female, I find it a bit too much on the 'masculine' side of things for my personal taste, but would still wear it if gifted to me. (I would like my husband to smell like this, though!)
I think (for my taste) it would be fantastic base for layering scents. Definitely worth getting a sample vial of, and trying for yourself!
