Exultat is inspired from the fragrance that the Italian families used to give during the wedding ceremonies. The white linen prepared for the ceremonies are purified with ash and lavender. Maria Candida Gentile visited the San Lorenzo church in Rome, and it was after this experience, she was moved to capture the spirituality of this ancient holy place.
The famous Director Pappi Corsicato who has worked with Pedro Almodovar loved Exultat so much that he decided to use it as a focus point in his next movie.

Powdery floral
Quite powdery floral with some undefined fruity note, with some woody note and frankincense (olibanum like) in the background. The powdery note is recognizable as violet, so if violet is your thing is it quite nice.

Kinder, gentler incense
This is not a deep resinous incense to me. Instead, it is a gentle and sweet incense with a light violet that lifts it out of the "churchy, dark" realm that many incense fragrances reside in. It is not what I was expecting but I'm happy to have it and can't wait to try it in warmer weather to see how it wears.

Frankincense beauty!
Opens with Frankincense and a lovely juicy citrus orange note, moves into violet, then the woody cedar appears, it's musical and beautiful....a wonderful incense perfume all they way through. Long lasting. Elegant. A new favourite!

My favourite incense perfume
Frankincense is not easy note to execute. Here in Exultat it is blended exceptionally with a candied violet. Many years ago I visited an innovative tea shop "Sloane Tea Company". There they sell a tea complement the "Sweet Violetta", candied violets flowers, crafted by the artisans from France. My first thought when I tried it was I wonder how they were able to preserve the natural flavor and smell so well. In Exultat I felt the same natural violet in all its beauty and I was taken back in time to the fields and I was a little girl picking violets. The orange adds a charm to it. This along with Sideris and Hanbury are my favorites.

I liked Sideris better
Not bad, but I prefer Sideris, which, to my nose, is just a thicker, more richly woven, tapestry of scent.
