"Picture a huge Christmas pudding, trundled into an oak-panelled dining room illuminated by candles, the wax dripping on to the starched -inen tablecloth. Flaming brandy, sozzled fruit, rich pud, rich people, old wood, soft wax... that smell. This scent came to be when Professor Barry Smith, Head of Philosophy at the University of London School of Advanced Studies, called us and asked for the scent of Christmas Pudding for a television programme the next day. So, Christmas Pudding was recreated, and Barry's assistant came to pick it up. The next day it was on Channel 5; we have the pictures. It seemed a shame to let it go to waste, so we took it and set a scene around it, wrote a story to go with it and, finally, finished the fragrance." ~ Sarah McCartney

I find the drydown on Captured by Candlelight to be almost the same as Rhubard & Custard. I love these both but Captured has a slight oaky smell underneath the custard and just a hint of wax. The perfect blend of woody and gourmand. LOVE it!

After falling in love with "By the Fireplace" Maison Martin Margiela, I went on a search for fire smelling scents. I actually found some other good ones for my own tastes, many I don't think are crowd pleasers. Then I found "Captured By Candlelight"!!! Wow, it's better than all the rest of them. I keep wanting to sniffing myself. Reminds me of a blowing out a candle, and a hot toddy. It's just so intoxicating.
"Centrepiece" also has a candle like scent. Like a holiday candle centerpiece, or bathroom candle. Fresh and romantic.
After finding this gem "Captured By Candlelight" I started collecting more and more of 4160tuesdays. I don't know how many I have, but they take up a lot of space. I have 4 sizes of 4160tuesdays, but no 100ml. I am pretty sure I have almost all, in either of those 4 sizes or as samples. If I ever get a 100ml it would most likely be this one.

Warm boozy and oaky, these are the three words I would use to describe this scent. It’s actually a bit smoky too!! When sprayed in the air I can smell the fruity accords in this as well. On my skin it’s mostly dark dry spiced vanilla, it has a bit of a semi-sweet undertone, never becomes sugar sweet:. Beautiful fall scent for cozying up by the fireplace with blankie, a glass of wine and a good book!

I believe that this is my favorite. I own over 100 bottles and choose this each time I want to smell good. I assume I look crazy because I remove my mask and sniff my wrist often. I have never received a compliment, but almost every person is wearing a mask.

This is a lovely perfume, with a warm, sweet vibe that is perfect for the colder months. It's almost an Oriental and gourmand mash-up to my nose, and while it might slant a little towards the feminine, I think men could definitely wear this too. FBW!!

This is delicious, a great balance between the foodie notes and the cognac/oak. Not overly sweet. Warm, sexy, unique. Love the hint of beeswax.
