I waffled on my review, so I waited for a bit more of the dry down and boy-oh-boy am I glad that I did! This scent is really well done. At first, all I got was ginger, nutmeg and lemon; but then, after about 20 minutes, the scent mellowed very nicely to become a sweet, soft true gourmand scent. Its like a cashmere sweater, soft, sexy, functional and not in your face. I really like it!

I really vacillated on my review. When I initially sprayed it, I got ginger, and nutmeg and lemon; while all are pretty, that is not what I was looking for. But, I let the scent dry down and mature. As it evolved, this beautiful, soft, creamy lemon scent came forth. None of the sharp or tangy, spiciness that I noticed in the beginning. It is not cloying or overly sweet, but a really good balance of everything. Well Done!

I adore Unknown Pleasures. It's a gorgeous gourmand with both cool and warm notes...lemon, waffle cone, and an incense note (named tea in the description) blend perfectly together into a fresh, non cloying gourmand, and I just ordered a 2nd bottle in a panic as my first is running low. There are only 3 fragrances that induce a panic state when bottles are almost empty, and this is one of them :)

  • Can't decide which to buy

I was expecting to like maybe one or two of the scents in the sampler but much to my delight each one of them has something unique to offer. I think John Pegg is an amazing talent and one that perfumistas need to get acquainted with. Now I just have to narrow down the embarrassment of riches to decide which one to buy a full bottle of! I particularly enjoyed Copper Skies, Creature, and Unknown Pleasures.
